If you like Jenga, you will love Rafter Five.
This might be one of the smallest balancing games ever produced—coming in the trademark pocket-sized Oink Games box—but it packs massive tension into a tiny footprint.
The Box is the Board!
Rafter Five utilizes a unique mechanic where the game box itself becomes the foundation. To start, you stack the box top and bottom to create a base. From there, players build an ever-expanding, weirdly shaped raft on top of it.
How to Play
You and your fellow players want to build as large a raft as possible, while forcing your opponents to knock it over.
- Build: On your turn, lift a wooden "Rafter" piece, slide a new Raft Card underneath, and clamp it back down.
- Load: Place one of your Treasure Chests onto the new card.
- The Strategy: Place your chest in the most precarious position possible!
The Risk
If you cause the raft to collapse, or if you knock off another player's chest, you must collect those chests as a penalty.
The Penalty: If you collect 5 chests owned by other players, you are eliminated!
The Safety Net: You can knock off your own chests without penalty (but be careful—you are making the raft lighter and more unstable for everyone else).
