What do a barista, an astronaut, and a fisherman have in common?
Designed by the renowned Friedemann Friese, Maybe.Not.Perfect is a clever cooperative game that will invite you and your friends to really rack your brains. It is a game of lateral thinking, deduction, and getting on the exact same wavelength as your teammates.
The Premise
The concept is beautifully simple. One player acts as the clue-giver and must come up with a single word that relates to three different profession or object cards on the table. But the clue must fit in three very specific ways:
-
Perfect: It fits one card really well.
-
Maybe: It fits the second card a little bit.
-
Not: It does not fit the third card at all.
How it Works (The Example)
Imagine your three cards are a Fisherman, a Barista, and an Astronaut. You give the clue: "Water".
-
Perfect: The Fisherman is literally surrounded by it.
-
Maybe: The Barista works with water (but mostly coffee beans and milk).
-
Not: The Astronaut is in space, where there is definitely no water!
The Challenge
Would you have explained it exactly like that? Great! Now the rest of the team must work together to correctly assign your clue to the right cards.
Your goal is to successfully assign as many clues as possible to get the highest team score. It sounds easy, but subjective clues will quickly lead to hilarious debates around the table. Let's see how in-sync you really are!
