How to Play

Akropolis is a tile-placement game with a twist. You don't just expand your city borders; you build towards the sky.

  1. Draft: Choose a tile from the construction site.

  2. Arrange: Place it in your city to unlock the potential of different districts.

  3. Build Up: Cover up old tiles to build on higher levels.

The 3D Strategy

This is where the game shines. Districts on higher levels are worth more points.

  • The Resource: Stone is essential. You earn stone by covering up quarries. You spend stone to buy better tiles from the market.

  • The Districts: You must balance different types of buildings:

    • Housing: Wants to be grouped together.

    • Markets: Want to be separate.

    • Barracks: Want to be on the edges.

    • Temples: Want to be surrounded.

    • Gardens: Want to be open.

Harmonious Planning

To win, you must raise your prestige with harmonious planning. A district is only worth points if it meets its specific rules (e.g., a Market creates no value if it is next to another Market). Build carefully, secure your stone supply, and elevate your best districts to the top tier to win the game.
