Ahoy, mateys! Get ready to weigh anchor and rule the Seven Seas, because our thrilling new card game, Pirate King, officially releases this Wednesday!
In this fast-paced, push-your-luck game, you will compete against rival captains to defeat legendary monsters and claim ancient treasures to earn Crowns. After 7 action-packed rounds, the player who has hoarded the most Crowns will be declared the ultimate Pirate King or Queen.
The Hook: Push Your Luck or Lose It All!
At the start of the game, up to 5 players will choose from 10 unique Pirate Cards and grab a starting deck of 8 cards. Pirate King is all about nerve and timing. During the game, players simultaneously reveal cards from the top of their decks one by one. Your goal is to reveal as many Swords and Gold as possible.
- Swords determine the turn order for the "Battle" phase, where the players with the most swords get to claim powerful Monster Cards from the center of the table.
- Gold dictates the turn order for the "Loot" phase, letting the richest pirates take their pick of valuable Loot Cards.
But here is the catch: hidden in your deck are dangerous Curses. You can risk it all and keep turning over cards to build up massive amounts of Swords and Gold, but if you reveal a third Curse, you "burst"! Bursting means you immediately lose all the Swords and Gold you collected for that round and your turn is over.
You must trust your gut: do you play it safe and stop, or push your luck for a chance at the best loot?
Crazy Card Combos & Sabotage
As you add new Monster and Loot cards to your deck, the game gets even more chaotic thanks to special card effects. Some cards might force you to keep revealing from your deck, let you peek ahead, or even allow you to flip over a previously revealed Curse to save yourself from bursting.
There is also plenty of interactive sabotage! You can temporarily place certain cards into another player's play area to mess with their turnâjust don't forget to claim back "Miss Brownie" the coconut at the end of the round, or she will get angry and join your opponent's deck!

With a dedicated 2-player variant and support for up to 5 players, Pirate King is the perfect mix of strategy, luck, and table-top tension. Keep an eye out for special rare cards, tooâcollect enough of certain symbols, and you might just trigger an instant victory!
